Description:
Charlie Y Charlie all began with two complete total strangers. Some may say that Carlos and Charles Lopez have met each other coincidently, but we like to say it was meant to happen. Charlie Y Charlie’s beginnings originate on an airfield at Hickam Air Force Base while on duty. To discover each other’s raw talents they spent the day freestlying using only a cell phone ringer as an instrumental. The following day Carlos and Charles Lopez proceeded to record their first collaboration. From there the refinement of skills and collage of ideas initiated a constant steady pace of writing and producing numerous tracks. To pursue their goals of reaching the main stream media, Charlie Y Charlie produced their first three song demo which was sent to numerous industry leading producers in Puerto Rico. Using only a desktop computer and a microphone in a closet, Charlie Y Charlie composed a five song sampler CD which has caught the ears of producers, promoters, and artists which still to this day is in circulation through underground copies. While promoting their sampler on the Waikiki strip, Charlie Y Charlie encountered a freelance promoter which provided them with their first opportunity to perform live at the Blue Tropics Night Club. After performing, several networking opportunities were rendered, and from there Charlie Y Charlie have been on the scene. Even though reggaeton is a newborn genre, Charlie Y Charlie have established a reputation for making the crowd move. A rapid growing fan base has been cultivated and currently is on a constant rise. Charlie Y Charlie’s first full length album was released in feburary 2006. The album contains a mixture of reggaeton, Hip-Hop and tropical sounds. With help from “No Mercy Record’s” leading producer, Chris Deshields, Charlie Y Charlie have compiled a production guaranteed to leave music lovers yearning for more. Charlie Y Charlie‘s music is currently playing on radio stations in Puerto Rico and Washington state and guaranteed to be broadcasted nationwide. These two professional individuals handle all business themselves but are very open minded and cooperative . Charlie Y Charlie are the newest and first hottest reggaeton duo in Hawaii.
