DL5 shows why they are one of Utahs most exciting up and coming bands. Seamlessly fusing an array of musical genres into one cohesive sound, this band truly has something for everyone. Their eclectic sound has been a collection of some 20+ years as musicians playing all kinds of music, with their musicianship it wasn't hard for them to change from playing Cover music to writing and producing their own songs, with in 10 months they have written and recorded 60 songs 15 more songs are lined up on their menu, they work together as a band from writing to recording instrument tracks.
Their music is a mosaic collection of songs that embraces a variety of styles and emotions. There are catchy soulful melodies, tender love songs, soulful boasting from all 4 albums
"Style n Groove", "Lets get funky","Fantasy "."Giv it all up" Every song is touched with meaningful words and rich musicianship. The overall variety of these Albums shows the depth of the band as well as the talent to have the ability to make it all work together so well in just one year this band means business.
DL5 was formed in early 2004, but the history of the band has been over 20 years in the making. In the late 80's, DL5 began regularly playing the hotel, bar scene sometimes playing seven gigs a week for years which put strain on their lead singer, lead guitarist voice, DL5 was able to build a strong following playing covers. Early 90's they moved to the united states, and lost track of their talent. In the middle of 2004 they got together and started playing cover songs, by the end of the year their focus shifted from cover music to original music. Their Plan was to write 60 songs by the end of 2005 and start touring by 2006 , DL5 is hoping to build on their history and make the transition from cover band to original band.
